Our client is seeking an experienced and skilled Compliance Manager to join their team. Based in Invercargill. The role provides an exciting opportunity to work with a geographically dispersed team, allowing you to explore the beautiful outdoors of the South Island. 

As Compliance Manager you will:

  • Lead the delivery of safe, compliant and high-quality operations.
  • Audit site structures for quality and safety.
  • Be out in the field engaging with the team, observing and coaching.
  • Manage asset inventory, stock compliance, maintenance and servicing.
  • Regularly review health & safety management systems including incidents, hazards, policies and procedures. 
  • Be responsible for the company’s auditing and accreditation requirements. 
  • Strive to continuously improve business operations and fulfill client contracts to the highest standards.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Bring significant Health and Safety experience including risk management in a high-risk environment;
  • Have experience in overseeing ISO or similar accreditations and audits;
  • Have a strong understanding of NZ health and safety legislation and best practice;
  • Have well-rounded knowledge in compliance and auditing (Quality Management Systems);
  • Proven ability to train and coach others with successful results;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and works well within a diverse team;
  • Be highly proficient in MS Office Suite, safety and quality systems;
  • Love the opportunity to be out in the field – frequent travel is an essential element of this role. 
  • An engineering, electrical or heavy industrial background will be advantageous.
