WasteCo is looking for a reliable, safety‑minded Class 4/5 Driver to join our Invercargill Solid Waste team. If you enjoy variety, like working with machinery and trucks, and take pride in doing the job right, this is a great opportunity.

About the Role
Join us on a Monday–Friday roster, with occasional Saturday work on rotation. This is a varied role combining hands‑on site duties with driving across the district to service transfer stations.
You’ll carry out pre‑start checks, follow planned routes, maintain accurate paperwork, and keep safety front of mind. Daily tasks include operating trucks and machinery, safe loading and unloading, engaging with customers, occasional kiosk duties, and ensuring your vehicle is well‑maintained.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re practical, customer‑focused, and comfortable switching between driving and onsite machinery work.
- Class 4 and Class 5 licences (essential).
- W, T & R endorsements (preferred)
- Clear communication and solid customer service skills; positive, friendly approach
- Good time‑management and problem‑solving; flexible and adaptable across tasks.
- Commitment to safety, accurate documentation, and doing the job properly, every time.
